Sr. Anna Hyland, former Principal of Scoil Muire gan Smal Presentation Primary School, Carlow yesterday celebrated 40 Years of success with the school band she founded in 1968. As part of the celebrations a special magazine was produced containing a wonderful range of photographs of the band down through the years. A special 40^th Anniversary Cake was produced for the event and Sr. Anna blew out the candles before presenting each member of the 2008 band with a special commemorative medal. A new Perpetual Trophy was also unveiled and Sandra Griffin, a past band member and current band tutor, received the award for 2008.
