International Year of Youth!

On the International Youth Day 12th August 2010, the second International Year of Youth was launched in the UN General Assembly Hall. The theme of the year is ‘Dialogue and Mutual Understanding’. Many colourful programme were performed by the youth.

World Humanitarian Day

The United Nations has designated 19 August as World Humanitarian Day. It marks the anniversary of the 2003 bombing of the Canal Hotel in Baghded which killed 22 people and injured more than 100.

Munzi Wesu Celebrates Official Opening

Sr. Mary Lucey has been the driving force behind the building of two villages in Pemba, Zambia. The opening of the second village, named by its residents as Munzi Wesu, was celebrated on July 20, 2010.

The Presentation Sisters along with the Mill Hill Missionaries have been working with the Kutchi Kholi tribal people over the last 25 years. The majority of these people are Hindus and around three thousand have embraced Christianity over the years.
