This is an open invitation to all Sisters, Associates, colleagues and Friends of Nano to join us in Cork on 21 December 2009 to mark the end of the Jubilee Year.

The fifty-fourth session of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women will take place from 1-12 March 2010. Presentation Sisters around the world have contributed to proposals to be considered by the United Nations.

The Charter for Compassion was unveiled on 12 November and was to be followed by a week of celebratory activities.

In preparation for the Jubilee Year the Nano Nagle Commission invited reflections on the life of Nano from the Presentation family worldwide. Many responded and a book of reflections will be published on 21 November 2009.

In honour of the Jubilee Year, Presentation Sisters in Tando Allah Yar opened a sewing centre with the support of 'Caritas Pakistan' Hyderabad. The name given was The Nano Nagle Sewing Centre, as many of the Kutchi Kholi women know her story well.

St.Columban's Anglo-Indian Higher Secondary School Annual Day took place on 30 October 2009 in Chennai in honour of the 225th Death Anniversary of our foundress Nano Nagle.

Special celebration was held in Tando Allah Yar for the Kutchi Kholi women in honour of the Jubilee Year. Nano was very much alive among the Kholi women on 26th September here.
