Dropouts return to form Nano Nagle Group
Last Summer the Sisters in Jhelum Community began to make preparations for the fitting celebration of the Jubilee Year of Nano’s death. One idea which they pursued was the establishment of a class for school dropouts.

Not School
Thirty seven early school leavers - boys and girls aged 13 to 16 years - are part of Presentation Ireland’s new online learning initiative. A further 24 young people had to be turned away mainly due to lack of broadband coverage.

Global Forum on Migration & Development
In October 2008, 220 delegates from all over the world, met at the second Global Forum on Migration and Development (GFMD) in Manila. Their purpose was to consider the rights and protections of migrants and the expansion of legal avenues for migration.

New Reflections
A number of new reflections have been added to the website. Sr. Kathleen Quinlan, from the Spirituality Focus Group, has kindly prepared four reflections for February and four more for March. Sr. Margaret Coleman from the South West Province in Ireland has added a reflection on Nano and we have added a reflection on the life of Mary Ann Collins whose anniversary is remembered on 14th March.
