The Nano Nagle Commission is aiming to compile and publish a book of reflections on the theme “Praying with Nano". It is hoped to include reflections by Sisters, friends, colleagues, and associates. We would like YOU to submit a reflection for consideration.

On Saturday 4th October there was a Jubilee Mass at St Mary’s Church, Ryde to celebrate 60 years of Presentation Sisters in Ryde.

The news of Sr. Maureen Costelloe’s recent death was received with deep sadness in Jhelum, Pakistan. Sr. Maureen had spent two terms there and was very well known and appreciated.

A group of women from all walks of life travelled to the Presentation holiday house in Ballinskelligs, Co. Kerry for some time-out with a difference.

This month we have added a reflection prompted by recent developments in Pakistan which are noted in our News items this month. The reflection is the poem, Would You Permit Me?,  by the Syrian poet Nizar Qabbani who died in 1998.

Presentation Communities in Pakistan strive to integrate ecological principles, based on a deep respect for all of creation, into their daily lives.

The International Presentation Association is a networking of the various congregations of PBVM women, including the Union of Presentation Sisters, the Conference of Presentation Sisters of North America, and the Australian Society. The Goal of the IPA is to foster unity and to enable collaboration for the sake of mission. Each congregation freely chooses to become part of the Association, which was established in 1988.
